Bio

I am a graphic designer and video-maker with 15+ years experience in the not-for-profit sector, making graphic design, illustration, animations and photography for clients the likes of Oxfam, Greenpeace and Transform Trade. After working in agencies and in the higher education sector, I set up my creative studio in 2016 and have been amplifying social and environmental causes since.

I am a specialist visual consultant who understands the ethos and unique challenges of the charity sector and consult with you to offer strategic design and visual direction based on requirements, budget and time restrictions. Please check my showreel - brunamartini.com

I’ve had the joy (and challenge!) of creating animation campaigns for The Gaza Sunbirds - an incredible para-cycling team from Gaza providing community-led aid to their people. I’ve helped shift mindsets about child labour through illustrations for Open Democracy, and designed heartfelt digital ads for The Forest Project, supporting young people through grief. I’ve turned annual reports into something people actually want to read — for The University of London, ADD International, The Girls Friendly Society, and plenty more brilliant organisations doing important work

When I'm not working I...

I'm a graphic novelist with ink-stained fingers and a love for storytelling. I've published two books in my native Italian: Patria (2021) and Roots (2023), and I'm always dreaming up the next one. When I’m not bringing other people’s ideas to life through design, you’ll find me sketching my own tales, experimenting with paints or sharing what I’ve learned with the next generation of creatives as a lecturer in Illustration at the University of Chichester and Animation at the University of Brighton
