Marlene Kinyua
Creative Strategist
MEAL, Strategy & Storytelling
Bio
I’m a creative humanitarian, a communications and MEAL consultant with a passion for creative, people-centred approaches to learning, storytelling and impact. I support organisations to design inclusive programmes, MEAL systems, develop Theories of Change and communicate their work in ways that are clear, ethical and engaging. I bring lived experience, feminist values and a deep belief in the power of storytelling to everything I do. Whether I’m designing or evaluating a programme, co-creating digital content or facilitating a workshop, my goal is always to help people and organisations amplify their impact while staying grounded in the communities they serve. I’m also the founder of Afrikala Art and Hello MEARL, platforms where I work with others to build fairer, more creative and mentally healthier systems/communities.

When I'm not working I...
am often listening to music while painting, it’s my favourite way to reset and reflect. I also love knitting, crocheting, and catching a good basketball game whenever I can. As an art therapist, creativity is not just my hobby, it’s my self-care too.
