Strategy, Structure, Culture and Crisis Support
Bio
I'm a freelance consultant and coach with over 20 years’ experience in the charity sector, including senior national roles and as CEO of two small/medium charities. I support organisations of all shapes and sizes to navigate complexity, whether that’s through service design, quality improvement, managing change, or developing strong teams and leaders. My approach is thoughtful, collaborative, and grounded in real-world experience.
I particularly enjoy helping charities work through tricky challenges – from strategy and structure to culture and crisis – and find a clear, sustainable way forward. Alongside consultancy and facilitation, I also research and write ‘state of’ reports that bring together robust analysis with community insight, providing valuable intelligence for funders, policymakers and local partnerships.
Whether you’re looking to improve a service, clarify your direction, or strengthen your organisation, I bring deep sector knowledge, a calm head, and a commitment to making your work easier, stronger, and more impactful.

am either in the garden admiring my veggies (!), reading or watching sci-fi, or out enjoying nature. I'm also one of the voluntary coordinators of the small charity CEOs Facebook group, a community for CEOs to share mutual support and advice, and lift each other up in the process
