Public Fundraising, Training and Coaching
Bio
I am a values-driven consultant, working across community, events and individual giving and brings these areas together as ‘Public Fundraising’.
Specialising in Stewardship, Storytelling and Strategy, I supports, coach and train fundraisers to build authentic relationships that break down silos, offer supporters to opportunity to make a difference and stay engaged with a cause for the long-term.
Trained in performing arts, and a lover of storytelling games like Dungeons and Dragons – Storytelling is in my blood. I found how to apply those skills early in my career, falling in love with fundraising starting out with a clipboard and a smile as a face-to-face fundraiser on the mean streets of London. Now as a consultant, I support my clients in finding and telling the stories that matter to build authentic relationships that inspire supporters to give and fundraise in the ways they choose, to make a difference.
I'm passionate about the power individuals and communities have in helping charities achieve change.
Key Skills
Public Fundraising Strategy, either individual areas of Community, Individual Giving and/or Events - but particularly bringing those together
Stewardship - again, for individual areas, across a campaign, or bringing together various areas and looking at your supporter base as a whole - rather than restrictive silos
Storytelling - whether it's copywriting, finding and telling your most effective stories or what I love doing most - training charities on how to find and tell emotive stories that inspire action
Coaching/Mentoring - particularly for fundraisers and/or those stepping up into management or into leadership
Training - I offer a wide range of training across a number of foundational fundraising areas - in particular all areas of Public Fundraising, Stewardship, Storytelling, Copywriting and more. My feedback for training always reflectls on what an engaging trainer I am, offering personalised training that takes into account different learning styles and existing knowledge
Away day creation, delivery and/or facilitation
